David Lewis spoke to the Town Board regarding a verbal easement on his newly acquired property that surrounds Butterfly Lake. There is no Legal easement filed at Marinette County for that driveway / route. Therefore, the Property Owner who is using his driveway cannot use this access to reach his property. There is a legal easement coming off of Dumman Rd for access. The current Fire# signs will be placed at correct location. Town board agreed and stated this is a civil matter and not town related.
Sara Pullen, Administrator Village of Wausaukee spoke to the Town board about rising cost of Fireworks for July 4th Celebration. The Town makes their donations and the Village handles the rest of coordinating the fireworks and absorbing the cost increase which is getting excessive. Sara is asking for more involvement from the Town monetarily and raising funds with letters for donations in the Spring. Town board agreed to look at this at budget time in October; and also agreed that town will support donation efforts.
Chairman Engelmann stated the Department of Transportation will be starting an improvement project soon on Hwy 141 starting at Hwy C in Wausaukee, ending at County K in Amberg. There is a parcel that both the Village & Town own on that route and that is why we were made aware of project.
Chairman Engelmann also gave update on Glendale Bridge project. Starting week of August 17th.
Road construction 2025 is going well. Seal Coating on Long Lake; Palmer /OK; Bielak; Skory; Pike River Roads is complete. Black Topping will be beginning end of month into September along with wedging.
Town Board agreed to create Ordinance Restricting Certain Artificial Wake Enhancement and review at September meeting
At 7:30, Supervisor Dennis Taylor made a motion to adjourn; seconded by Supervisor Mueller
